EDUCATION
* PhD student at SICS and DSV, Stockholm University. Focused on designing for whole body interaction, expected graduation in 2016.

* Master in Interactive Systems Engineering, graduation in June 2011 at Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH), Stockholm (Sweden), focused on Human and Computer Interaction (HCI).

* Exchange student, August 2008, at Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH), Stockholm (Sweden).

* Degree in Telecommunication Engineering (equivalent to bachelor and master degree), graduation in December 2010, at Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros (ETSI), Universidad de Sevilla,
Sevilla (Spain), minor in Automatic Control.

EXPERIENCE
* Research Assistant, March 2011 – January 2012. Within the Future Application Lab in Mobile Life Centre at SICS, Stockholm, Sweden. Responsible for user studies and evaluation of dinosaur toy in two different embodiments: a robot and a mobile platform.

* Research Assistant, March 2010 – February 2011. Within the Pervasive Games Group in Mobile Life Centre at Interactive Institute, Stockholm, Sweden. Responsible for the design and evaluation of new games, user studies. Focus on researching dance as interaction method for a mobile game platform.

* Teamer, group leader of the Spanish delegation for the programme Youth in Action, summer 2007. Within the Youth in Action program, at Haus am Maiberg, Heppenhaim (Germany). Focused on organizing the summer camp agenda, planning non-formal learning activities, moderating discussions, organizing games, workshops, and presentations.

GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
* Erasmus Program, 2008 – 2009, at Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH), Stockholm (Sweden).

* Faro Global grant, February 2010 – September 2010, at Movinto Fun AB, Stockholm (Sweden). Focused on design and improvement of movement detection games, data collection and analysis, suggesting new movement algorithms.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES
* Participated in a Kinect Interactive Dance Performance organized by Microsoft Research Cambridge at “Laban Centre“, Mars 2012, London, UK. A two minute video of the interaction can be seen “here“.

* Participated and presented my work in the Workshop on Movement Qualities and Physical Models Visualizations, organized by IRCAM-Pompidou and LIMSI-CNRS, Mars 2012, Paris, France. More info “here

* In December 2011, I collaborated with “Katherine Isbister’s” group in the “Game Innovation Lab” at “NYU Poly“, New York. We brainstormed and play tested a collaborative dance game developed for a mobile application.

* Participated in the “ACE2011 Conference“, November 2011, Lisboa, Portugal. Presented a paper: “ViPleo and PhyPleo: Artificial pet with two embodiments” (See Publications).

* Invited to participate in the IwS: Interacting with Sound Workshop in MobileHCI 2011.

* Participated in the Fifth International Conference on Tangible, Embedded, and Embodied Interaction. TEI 2011. Presented a Work in Progress Paper.

* Invited to open the “Games, play, embodiment and the Wii” symposium, May 2010, at the London Knowledge Lab.

* Participated in the “Gesture, Technology and Play“, May 2010, at the Play Research Group at the University of the West of England, Bristol.
